Facial Rejuvenation through acupuncture is the oldest and safest way to have a “facelift.” It smooths wrinkles, lifts the face, helps soften and plump the skin, and brings a radiant, youthful glow with no risk of scarring, rashes, or toxic buildup of chemicals. Muscles are activated that have been dormant or tense for a long time, “lifting” sagging areas around the eyes, jowls, cheeks and neck – creating a natural, age-appropriate lift to your face.
According to TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), wrinkles begin internally from an imbalance of Qi -- the energy that circulates throughout the body in pathways to different organs. This energy flow nourishes and supports every cell, tissue, muscle, and organ. Benefactors of these treatments bring healing to their entire body improving sleep, lowering stress, balancing hormones, assisting digestion and more while stimulating collagen production to fill lines and elastin that tighten the skin.
Rather than injecting Botox, lines fade with the production of new, youthful cells.
Each session is personalized to reawaken internal cells, beautify external appearance, and relax the nervous system. Cosmetic Acupuncture is a virtually painless alternative to cosmetic surgery and a non-toxic method to reduce the signs of aging with no down-time. New clients are invited to explore Facial Rejuvenation in a free phone consultation and are advised to check the FAQ’s page for further information prior to scheduling. Look and feel younger, and healthier, the natural way!
Acupuncture is one method of healing used in Chinese medicine. Very thin needles are inserted in different "points" where the qi (aka lifeforce) of your body is easily accessed, correcting blockages to the flow of energy throughout points, meridians (energetic circuits) and your body’s organ-systems. This and other techniques like cupping, gua sha, herbal therapy, moxa, and tui na (body work) are used in this medicine and have been the primary form of healthcare for thousands of years in East Asia.
All the approaches of this medicine seek to restore your body’s natural rhythm's and can be effective in treating active health concerns to alleviate pain, as a maintenance therapy for chronic illness and to support emotional well-being or as an adjunct therapy for mood disorders. However, they are best used preventatively to catch and correct imbalances in your body’s energy that may lead to serious physical health problems down the road. For a comprehensive, though not exhaustive list of what conditions can be treated, please see the FAQ's page.
Each method helps strengthen weakened systems and energy pathways. When qi becomes weak or obstructed, the body, mind and spirit are impacted and symptoms of dis-ease can be found in any of these areas including wide-reaching impacts like lowered immunity, inability to adapt to stress and fatigue. Therefore, because of the holistic nature of these treatment methods, people often report improvements in conditions outside of what they came in with as their primary concern.
MicroNeedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), is a non-surgical, non-toxic, skin rejuvenation therapy that can be used to:
- Reduce acne scars (scar tissue is broken down and new cells are stimulated)
- Minimize lines and wrinkles (micro-needles cause generation of collagen and elastin which plump the skin)
- Tighten skin (collagen and elastin production causes tightening of the skin)
- Correct uneven skin tone and texture (hyperpigmentation is broken down and new skin cells fill in to create smoother skin)
- Thicken eyebrow’s (MicroNeedling promotes hair follicle health and restoration as an alternative to microblading.)
A mechanical device introduces fine needles to specific depths of the skin to work on different concerns. In all cases, accelerated exfoliation, toning and evening of the skin, and generation of new collagen and elastin are achieved. Used for prevention or repair of aging or sun-damaged skin, results from a series of treatments can take 5-10 years off the apparent age and can last up to 5 years. With regular maintenance you can slow the advancement of aging skin.
Where MicroNeedling is the most effective, non-invasive, non-toxic method of skin rejuvenation available today, Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture addresses the muscles and underlying structures in the face that lead to sagging, lines and wrinkles. Therefore, the most effective regimen for facial rejuvenation combines some form of microneedling along with cosmetic acupuncture and a good, organic product line.
Treatment with Micro- or Nano-needling begins with a minimum of 4 sessions spread out over 4 months. After that, your practitioner may suggest a few more treatments to optimize your results. Allow up to 100 minutes for this treatment as a full body acupuncture treatment is included to address underlying causes of the condition.
What we see in the mirror is a literal reflection of our internal health.
